The most comfortable men’s slippers

It sounds like boasting, but we actually did the math – and the science, for that matter. A pair of glerups wool slippers for men are some of the most comfortable slippers on the market due to the unique mix of wool used to make them. Take a look at the selection and find the pair of the most comfortable men’s slippers that fit your unique style.

Upgrade your downtime with glerups slippers for men

When coming home from a long day at work, making the shift from working to resting has never been easier than with a pair of glerups slippers to put on your feet for instant relaxation and comfort. Having a comfortable pair of wool slippers for your tired feet at the end of the day, will make your down time much more enjoyable due to the light and breathable footwear.

Making the most of nature’s hidden gems

Our slippers are made with a great adherence to the traditional craftsmanship of making felted wool slippers, with a machine known as “The old lady”. This machine is a carding machine that was made back in 1936 in England and founder Nanny Glerup bought it in 1995 to make things speed up in the growing company. To this day, it is still a part of the production in the factory in Romania.

We use a fine mix of wool from Danish sheep and high-quality wool from New Zealand. This blend of wool is quite extraordinary to its natural properties, which is also why it is the trademark of products from glerups. Firstly, the wool makes sure your feet stay comfortable no matter the physical circumstances. This is due to the wool blend – it keeps your feet warm, but not too hot, when it’s cold, and helps them stay cool in a warm climate. This is because of the physical structure of the fibres in this specific wool mix, which allow them to absorb and release heat accordingly, which also makes them a perfect fit all year round.

Made for natural comfort

This leads to the second benefit of glerups slippers, the feeling of the texture against your skin is one of a kind. This material is in its molecular structure close to the way our skin is, meaning that it will feel soft and comfortable, when touching skin. This is a property not found in slippers of other materials such as polyester or nylon.

Other materials have a different structure than human skin, which is why some types of materials or clothing can feel itchy or in other ways uncomfortable. This is not the case for glerups slippers; the material used here actually helps the skin stay healthy, as it keeps excess heat and humidity from circulating, but locks it in instead.

A fresh breath of nature

Thirdly, the texture of the fibres prevent unpleasant odours from occurring, even when worn over longer periods of time. The unique texture of this type of wool blend simply absorbs the odour molecules in a way that makes them impossible to detect with the human nose and then they disappear when the slippers are cleaned. This can be done as easily as leaving the shoes out in the fresh air for a while, leaving the shoes feeling as fresh as new. And if you take a moment to read how to take good care of your glerups slippers, you will find that they can last longer than ordinary slippers. That is also a part of our philosophy – these slippers aren’t meant to just last a season and then being replaced, they are made with a durability that is easily upheld with simple actions. All these reasons are why we say that our slippers are of highest quality and the most comfortable slippers, as not many other types of slippers have all the natural properties as glerups.

A versatile slipper for every occasion

When it comes to being suited for all activities, glerups slippers check all the boxes. Our slippers come with either soft soles in leather or hard-wearing natural rubber, both of which give you the feeling that has made our products recognized both in Denmark and abroad. If you choose our slippers with leather soles, you get the ultimate pair of slippers, which are suitable for all the cosy moments indoors, while our models with natural rubber soles can also easily be used for outdoor cosiness – i.e. for some good hours in the garden, on the terrace or on the quick trip downtown.

The common denominator for all our slippers is that we have never compromised neither design nor quality. In addition to the carefully selected materials, we also use innovative techniques and multifaceted processes to ensure that all our original footwear that bear our historic name can be used as a regular part of your personal down time, for when you need to relax and recharge within the sanctity of your home.
